RealPlus offers access to both REBNY VOW and IDX listings. Each feed contains both IDX and VOW data with the ability to identify each listing in the feed as an IDX and/or a VOW listing. After the initial feed is establish and tested, RealPlus provides ongoing support and maintenance of the feed to insure accurate and timely delivery of listings data.
What is the difference between the IDX and VOW?
VOW (Virtual Office Website) listings are comprised of all listings in the RLS database. They consist of all active (no historical or off market) listings entered into the RLS via REBNY authorized vendor applications. REBNY requires that all VOW listings reside behind a registration wall so that visitors to your site must first register before they can access detailed information of a VOW listing.
IDX (Internet Data eXchange) listings consist of all active exclusive listings of firms who have opted into the REBNY IDX. Unlike VOW listings, there is no registration requirement for visitors to a site to view detailed listing information.
The largest firms (ie Corcoran, Elliman, BHS, Halstead) are not currently members of the IDX. Therefore, their listings are only available to the public behind the VOW registration wall. The vast majority of mid and small firms belong to both the IDX AND the VOW. Their listings are available to the public without the registration wall.
What are the display requirements?
REBNY will conduct an audit of any website that displays either VOW or IDX listings to insure compliance with their display requirements. RealPlus will coordinate the audit with REBNY prior to the publication and display of the IDX/VOW listings.
A firm (and all their agents) must be REBNY members in order for RealPlus to implement and support the data feed.
How long will it take to get the feed up and running?
Because all our feeds have been pre-programmed and tested, we typically can deliver a functional data feed to you within 1 business day?
